Any electric service, which is not served by municipal sewer, must obtain an electrical release from the local health department.

New Construction

Temporary Electrical Release may be issued after the health department determines the site to be suitable for a septic system. *Cannot be issued to mobile homes.

Permanent Electrical Release may be issued after the health department approves the final inspection of the septic system.

Existing Septic System

If you have an existing septic system visit your Local Health Department and fill out an existing system form. Please have information such as the location of the property, acreage of the property, type and size of the existing system, date of installation, and name of the installer.

Upon inspection of your property and existing system, the Local Health Department can issue you an Existing System Electrical Release Sticker.

*$110.00 fee for an existing system inspection.
