1. Public Health Nurse I (Ryan White Program) – Transcript Submission Required

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Public Health Nurse I – Ryan White Program based in one of the ten counties within the Lake Cumberland District.  

General Duties Include:  Provide direct case management for HIV positive clients across 27 counties within the greater Lake Cumberland District area. Assists clients with attaining HIV-related services for those who do not have sufficient health care coverage or financial resources. Provide timely case management, administrative documentation and recordkeeping tasks for assigned cases in the Ryan White Part B Care Coordination Program. Assists with conducting communicable and preventative disease case finding investigations for the purpose of preventing and controlling diseases and disabling conditions and the promotion and maintenance of health populations. Attend and participate in job specific training requirement programs and gain knowledge regarding various assigned health department programs and services. Some travel will be required throughout the 27 counties service area in Kentucky.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA) (**SEE NOTE ABOUT SUBMITTING TRANSCRIPTS)

Starting Salary:  $20.30 per hour (5% increment added to salary upon successful completion of an initial six months performance probationary period.)

Merit Salary/Position Grade: 17
